Born in Malao Village, a place with a rich history in the silversmithing craft, renowned as the hometown of Chinese silversmiths, this small village in Guizhou has always focused on preserving the art of silver jewelry forging. Over the years of experience, Pan has become:
- A recognized inheritor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Silversmithing
- The president of the Malaoyin Silver Jewelry Association
- A distinguished expert at the Dalian Academy of Science and Design Arts
- Founder of his jewelry brand
Pan was nominated as a candidate for the "Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Person of the Year" in 2020.
His father didn’t want him to become a silversmith, fearing the career is laborious with meager income. Now, Pan Shixue's shop receives substantial orders regularly, alleviating the financial concerns of the family. He hopes his children will follow his journey to be a silversmiths in the future, continuing to preserve the unique 400-year silver crafting skills.

Wu Changhua
"I am committed to showcase the rich culture of the Miao People to the world through our distinctive Miao silversmithing craft. The goal is to prevent the unique Miao craftsmanship from fading away, a skill that has hidden deeply in the mountains of Guizhou for thousands of years!”
Wu Changhua, born in 1984, is recognized as an inheritor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2012. Wu comes from a family of silversmiths, learned the skills from his father, continuing the legacy as the sixth generation. Specializing in the intricate filigree work, his works are renowned for richness, intricate details, and aesthetic appeal. With over 20 years of experience, Wu has built his own studio in Kaili, Guizhou.
His works have earned top honors from multiple craft and product design competitions at regional and provincial levels. In 2011, he participated in the "Honglicheng Cup" Colorful Guizhou tourism product design competition, winning the grand prize and awarded as the "Art Master and Craftsman of Guizhou”.

"I aspire to be the Gen-Z representative and inheritor of the traditional Miao silversmithing craft, creating authentic aesthetics from a young, innovative and unique perspective. I aim to promote and champion the National Intangible Cultural Heritage among the younger generation."
Born in 1999 in Malao Village, a hub of Chinese silversmithing, Pan Xueyou started his journey in silversmithing making from a skilled artisan at a young age. Specializing in filigree art, and traditional carving, Pan has distinguished himself in this field. He received the Outstanding Award at the 2nd Silverware Culture Festival's Carving Skills Competition and the Best Craftsmanship Award at the 3rd China Silver Jewelry Innovation Design Competition. Both proves his contribution to the preservation of Miao silversmithing.
